Republic Chile Monetary unit is peso which is equal 100 centesimos. In monetary circulation there are coins of denomination 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 peso.

On face side of a coin of denomination 1 peso the general, the statesman, the chief of liberation movement - Bernardo O'Higgins is represented, and also there is an inscription REPUBLICA DE CHILE. On the back the digital designation of nominal value in a laurelic wreath is seated. The coin is rapped out from aluminium. Coins in nominal values 5 and 50 peso have similar decor, are produced of aluminium bronze.

On an obverse of a coin in nominal value 10 peso (1998) are seated the allegorical plotting of freedom, and also the text REPUBLICA DE CHILE. LIBERTAD. On a reverse the nominal value framed with a laurelic wreath is indicated. Metal- Aluminium bronze. The coin of the same nominal value, but 1995 of issue on face side contains Bernardo O'Higgins portrait and an inscription REPUBLICA DE CHILE.

On face side of a coin of Chile in nominal value 100 peso (1994) the arms of the country which represent a board in which center there is a star plotting are represented, over a board three pens are possessed, as chargers the crowned deer and a condor acts. On the back - a nominal value designation in a laurelic wreath. The coin is rapped out from aluminium bronze. On an obverse of a coin of the same nominal value, but 2003 of issue are seated the State Emblem in a laurelic wreath and a digital designation of nominal value. On the back there is an inscription REPUBLICA DE CHILE. PUEBLOS ORIGINARIOS, and also the plotting of the woman in a national suit. The coin is produced of bimetal (a brass, a copper and nickel alloy).
