Kingdom Belize Monetary unit is the dollar which is equal to 100 cents. In monetary circulation there are coins in nominal value 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 cents and 1 dollar.

In 1885 in Belize (at that time colonies of Great Britain) the bronze coin 1 cent has been manufactured. Then, in 1894 issue of silver 5, 10, 25 and 50 cents has been manufactured. These coins have been rapped out in the Royal mint, and their design was similar to other British colonial dollars used in Hong Kong and Canada. The Copper-Nickel has replaced silver in a coin of 5 cents in 1907, and in 1942 this coin began to manufacture from alloy nickel-brass. By degrees silver have replaced with a Copper-Nickel in all coins: in 1952 - 25 cents, in 1954 - 50 cents, in 1956 - 10 cents. In 1976 there were aluminium coins of 1 and 5 cents. And ten-coal nickel-brass the coin 1 dollar has been entered in 1990.

On face side of coins in nominal values in 5 cents and 1 dollar is the plotting of the English queen. Around Portrait the inscription is possessed: QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND. On a reverse of a coin of denomination in 5 Cents in a point circle there is a digital designation of nominal value, on the back coins in nominal value 1 The dollar is the plotting of sailing vessels on a sea in a frame of a wavy ornament.
