In 1960 under the decree of sultan Mohammed Farida a series of coins in the Royal mint of England has been produced. New issue consisted of coins in nominal value 1, 2, 5, 10, 25 and 50 laris. The currency has been entered into the circulation in February, 1961 and all earlier manufactured coins, except for 1 and 4 laris, have been withdrawn from a turn-over on June, 17th, 1966.
