The East caribbean dollar is in use in 7 countries entering into the Organization of the East Caribbean states (OECS). It - Antigua and Barbuda , Dominica, Grenada , Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and more on island Anguilla. The East caribbean dollar is equal to 100 cents. In circulation there are notes in nominal value 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 dollars.
The East caribbean dollar is entered on October, 6th, 1965 instead of West India dollar on a parity 1:1. The West India dollar was manufactured by originally private business banks, and since 1951 - Management of monetary circulation of the British Caribbean territories for Barbados, Guiana British, Trinidad and Tobago, Windward and Leeward Islands and had a solid parity with pound sterling - 4,80 West India, and after an east caribbean dollar for 1 pound sterling.
