Till 1961 the rupee Pakistan made 10 anns, 64 paisa or 192 shares. The native currency is manufactured by the Government bank of Pakistan which is in Karachi.
In state monetary circulation there are denominations of denomination of 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 rupees. Also in a turn-over there is a legal tender note which is equal to 1 rupee Pakistan. Dominating colours of denominations - it is dark - also light brown, olive.
On face side of all acting notes of a series of 2005 the portrait of Muhammada Ali Genie, the Muslim politician which is esteemed in Pakistan as the founding father of national statehood is represented. It is one of initiators and the activest participants of section of the British India.
Besides local notes of serial issue, in the circulation, making a hadj the denominations intended for pilgrims are entered into Mecca. These are notes of denomination of 10 and 100 rupees Pakistan. As the emitter of such money the Government bank of Pakistan also acts.
Exchange is carried out almost in each bank and shop, and also in private exchange offices which it is a lot of in territory of Pakistan. Thus it is the most easier to interchange denominations of the last issues. Back issue money, and also the worn out and shabby denominations interchange at lower rate.
Free importation of rupees is supposed, the native currency can be removed, only if its sum does not exceed 500 rupees. Foreign money can be imported and removed without any restrictions.
At exchange it is better to change money for smaller denominations because in many places of trade it is very difficult to be paid back in kind, for example, from 500 and 1000 rupees Pakistan.
